The Nativity – St Helen’s Church, Brigsley

We’re excited to open our doors for this year’s beautiful Nativity Display, running from 29 November, 10am–4pm until Sunday 14 December
Come and see our wonderful scene celebrating the Christmas story — a peaceful reminder of hope, light, and the joy this season brings. Whether you’re taking a quiet moment for yourself or bringing family and friends, everyone is warmly welcome. Step inside, pause, reflect, and enjoy the start of the festive season with us at St Helens Church.
This is a life size Nativity Display put together by our local schools, charities, community groups, businesses and a whole raft of wonderful volunteers.
There will be a craft table to keep the little ones entertained and refreshments available.
Open daily from Saturday 29 November until Sunday 14 December, 10am to 4pm
On Sunday 30 November there will be a pop up tea room and craft fayre at Brigsley village hall too .

This year, the town will be illuminating it’s Christmas Tree on St Peter’s Avenue on Friday 28 November. Delight in the festive atmosphere with festive stilt walkers along with live music and entertainment. Browse the Great Student Christmas Market in the church hall too!

Join us from 5pm with the tree lights being illuminated at approximately 6.15pm.

Genesis Connected is a tribute show celebrating the music of Genesis and the biggest selling acts connected: Peter Gabriel, Phil Collins and Mike & the Mechanics.

This show has an incredible mix of material, from atmospheric anthems to chart toppers. Hear your favourite hits spanning from the late 70s onwards including; Turn It On Again, Sledgehammer, In The Air Tonight, Over My Shoulder, Against All Odds, That’s All, Solsbury Hill, You Can’t Hurry Love, The Living Years and many more.

The frontman, Pete Bultitude, is not only an incredibly versatile vocalist, he is also a truly gifted drummer just like Phil Collins, so expect the show to include the iconic “double drums” element as featured on every Genesis and Phil Collins tour.

Known on both classical and folk circuits, Rob Johns is a guitarist, composer, performer and in inspirational teacher of considerable reputation and experience. Based in Lincoln, he has performed extensively throughout Britain to critical acclaim and has been heard on BBC Radio 3 & Radio 4, and on national TV. With a reputation for sensitivity and insight, Rob interprets music from a wide range of periods and styles including Classical, Flamenco, Folk and Blues, inlcuding his own highly evocative compositions. Rob will be peforming on Classical, Acoustic and Flamenco Guitars and also unaccompanied song. This crafted concert will reflect many aspects of the guitar and of the man and above all of music as a source of joy and inspiration.

Arrive at 7pm for concert start at 7:30pm
